It took me four months to become diabetes free…

The doctors wanted me to accept the conditions of being a diabetic so I wouldn’t die. I had to inject five insulin shots a day and take two pills. I was eating, like most people, according to the U.S. Food Pyramid designed by the USDA, which is based on heavy carbohydrate consumption.

But after two and a half years and living under their conditions, I was suffering from insulin shock and my weight was now obese. I felt the medical establishment was prolonging my eventual death, and I had to figure out how to become free of these medications and lose weight, or else.

Through the readings of a lipid doctor, who was a biochemist that studied DNA, proteins, and cell parts, I figured out how to reverse my diabetes in four months after I committed myself to change:

Using an 8” dinner plate, I had 1/3 low fat protein, up to 2/3’s vegetables, and a dash of monounsaturated fat. For my exercise, it was a normal thirty-minute walk a day. That was it.

Of course, the details in understanding what to do and not to do made it all work.
